Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this internship opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be in possession of a National Diploma or Degree (minimum NQF Level 6) in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Have completed the qualification at the time of application.
- Possess a valid Code B driver’s licence.
- Have the ability to communicate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
- Be computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Meet the academic requirements for the field of study.
- Must not have previously participated in a Public Sector Internship.
- Be willing to work overtime when required.
Internship Details & Benefits
- Stipend: Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R9,274.85.
- Duration: Initial contract of 12 months, with a possible extension of 12 to 24 months (up to a maximum of 3 years).
- Experience: Gain practical workplace experience within local government.
- Exposure: Hands-on exposure to municipal infrastructure and project management processes.
Important Note: Preference will be given to applicants residing within the Mossel Bay Municipal area.
