Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this internship opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be in possession of a National Diploma or Degree (minimum NQF Level 6) in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Have completed the qualification at the time of application.
  • Possess a valid Code B driver’s licence.
  • Have the ability to communicate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
  • Be computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Meet the academic requirements for the field of study.
  • Must not have previously participated in a Public Sector Internship.
  • Be willing to work overtime when required.

Internship Details & Benefits

  • Stipend: Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R9,274.85.
  • Duration: Initial contract of 12 months, with a possible extension of 12 to 24 months (up to a maximum of 3 years).
  • Experience: Gain practical workplace experience within local government.
  • Exposure: Hands-on exposure to municipal infrastructure and project management processes.
Important Note: Preference will be given to applicants residing within the Mossel Bay Municipal area.
