Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this internship opportunity, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
National Diploma or Degree (minimum NQF Level 6) in Civil Engineering or a related field
Completed qualification at the time of application
Valid Code B driver’s licence
Ability to communicate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape
Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
Must meet academic requirements for the field of study
Must not have previously participated in a Public Sector Internship
Willingness to work overtime when required

Successful candidates will receive the following benefits:
Monthly stipend of R9 274.85
Practical workplace experience within local government
Exposure to municipal infrastructure and project management processes
Opportunity to extend the internship beyond 12 months (up to a maximum of 3 years)

This Project Management Unit Internship Programme is based within the Infrastructure Services Department and is designed to support municipal projects while developing future professionals in engineering and project management.

Possible extension of 12 to 24 months, up to 3 years maximum
Stipend: R9 274.85 per month
